Birds and beasts

Another fabulously hot day in Paphos, where I have met some creatures new to me: the ubiquitous hooded crow (Corvus corax) - here are two of many - and a side-striped Troodos lizard (Phoenicolacerta troodica). The fourth creature is a sleepy snail. I suspect that when it wakes up it will be to discover that it wasn't just a bad dream - it really is in the middle of a tree-sized cactus!

We visited the archeological park and saw some amazingly well preserved and rare Roman mosaics in the House of Dionysus. I particularly liked the tiger who had a distinct affinity with bouncy Tigger. And the view towards the hills NE of Paphos looked so attractive with a symphony of bougainvillea in the foreground. (See Extras.) All followed by a delicious moussaka and local Keo beer! We were ready for a swim when we returned 'home' - Mr PP's first since his hip replacement.

Thank you so much for putting my yesterblipped Paphos pelican on the popular pages!
