Study in grey

I found it odd to be walking under pale grey skies - with even a touch of rain in the air - this afternoon as it turned into evening. And it added to the strangeness to see this little fishing boat pottering up the Toward shore. I think it was landing pots of some kind - lobsters? Or whatever else is caught that way? They were certainly hauling up something, and loading it onboard with a great clattering sound.

My extra photo (not been adding any recently because I can't figure out how to do it with the phone) is of my front garden this morning. The azaleas that produce the main burst of colour there are all out just now, having burgeoned while we were away, and it seems a pity not to celebrate them before the wind and rain apparently heading our way this week.

Of more concern, however, is the scaffolding that was erected against our back wall today. Fingers crossed that life doesn't become too exciting ...
