Green???

I may be mistaken, but this appears to be a Green Heron?

It has been a while since I walked around the pond as it is heavily overgrown now and I don't fancy picking up a tick on my lunch walks.  However, it called my name so I decided to see if any of the ducks or mergansers had returned.  I heard such a bizarre bird call and looked up in time to see this guy fly into a tree.

I am certain that I skipped all the way back to work  ; )

I had the engagement photoshoot after work that lasted two hours so I am fairly exhausted now.  No time for viewing other blips, I am afraid.  Do hope you are all having a fantastic week!
