Life through the lens...

By ValC

Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh!

Those of you who remember the song by Allan Sherman will understand my title!

We woke up to torrential rain, but the nearer we got to the Med. the brighter it got until the sun came out and the temperature rose to 29c.

We decided to do a quick detour, and ended up at a delightful small village on the coast,
called Leucate Plage.
Between Narbonne and Perpignan. ( see map)
Very, very quiet and had a nice coffee overlooking the beach, which is where I took the photo.

We spoke to an English couple who were on holiday with their 18 month old daughter.
They had abandoned the gite they were going to have in the Dordogne, as the weather was so bad, and headed for the coast.
They were also pleased to see some sunshine!

Now over the border in Spain.
Having 2 night’s in Cadaques. A beautiful town we visited many years ago for half a day,and always wanted to return.

Off out to explore after a rest.

Many thanks for your lovely comments, and stars.Very much appreciated.

I have tagged this for Wide Wednesday’s challenge.
The theme is “ colour” and this blue sky is all the colour I need after two grey days!
