Bee-dy eye

I had a short session earlier trying to photograph the many bumblebees on the Spiraea japonica (Goldflame) in our front garden. They were very active!

It was interesting to find yesterday that several of my fellow blippers have connections to my home town. It really is a small world. And thanks to one of them, Dave the Rave in France, for the chocolate banana cake recipe which I will be trying very soon! Meanwhile, as I type, there is a vegan strawberry chocolate cake in the oven and it certainly smells good. I'm off spinning this evening to earn a slice.
