St Werberg's. Bristol

I was visiting with a U3A Discovering Villages group.  It is an area where the locals are always ready to protest and mobilise to maintain their area from corporate invasion. There are self build properties, an inner city farm, lots of allotments, parks, community spaces, a church that has been turned into a climbing and bouldering  centre and many footpaths through extraordinary hilly areas around defunct and functioning railway lines.  In the extras there is an alternative pub, an extraordinary front garden and a locked Victorian pissoire (due to lack of council funds)
