Trader Joe's

Very familiar in California, but ever more widespread in the East. This is our local store, 15 minutes away.across the Connecticut River in Hadley. Our go-to place for quite a number of things: e.g. nuts, inexpensive coffee, a good cheese selection, organic apple sauce (in a more practical jar than the one at Stop & Shop). The event of the day was a car that wouldn't start this morning (lights left on, of course by you-know-who). Marylee had to call a taxi for an important near-by physical therapy appointment.  But at least Triple A came quickly to give me a boost, and I was able to pick her up.
