What a morning!  Gales with prolonged gusts of up to 55mph ripped through the garden from about 5am until after lunch.  The rose bushes have been stripped of many of their buds and limbs snapped off, aquilegia and poppies flattened, the ash tree leaves and small branches cover the lawns, garden furniture re-arranged, flower pots strewn about the place...   Looks like we've been vandalised.
