Red and White

I loved the Poppies in the Churchyard surrounded by a sea of Daisies and spent a little time sitting on a bench in the sun there  before visiting the Dentist which is just around the corner. Only the Hygienist today so not too painful.  After that I went down to the canal to see if the Swan babies had hatched, which they had and a while ago by the look of the cygnets now.  A resident of the houses by the canal told me that 6 eggs hatched but two had died, one from being caught up in a fishing line. The remaining 4 look as if they are doing well and Mum and Dad were not far away.

We had a little rain overnight and some pretty strong winds.  It was still very windy through the morning but quietened down a bit by the afternoon and nice and sunny too.
