UNESCO Certification Mark

Today I received an award for the social, environmental, ethical and sustainable way in which I have been trying to run my business.

Balkissock Lodge B&B has become the only B&B in Scotland (and possibly the world) to hold a UNESCO Certification Mark.

The ward was developed by the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere team and presented by Scottish Government Cabinet Minister for Tourism, Culture and External Affairs, Fiona Hyslop, who told me that she remembers fondly childhood holidays in Ballantrae.
