So I turned around...

And saw this turkey about 10 feet behind me. And then I looked down (extra). I stood frozen in place, snapping pics of course, but not daring to breathe. They meandered off, but then I saw they had come back and were peeking around the corner. Then they started filing by and came so close I was actually a little nervous - I moved back to give them some space.
It felt like a gift, so I said “thank you, turkeys,” and went home.
