Burrowing Owl

We visited the Birds of Prey centre at Newent on the way to visit our daughter and son-in-law.  This little burrowing owl was a real show-off and dutifully ran through small tunnels under a grassy mound.  We also saw demonstration flights of an eagle, several kites, a vulture and a peregrine falcon.  This centre is particularly proud of the work it does in supporting vultures as they have suffered an enormous decline in the wild.
