Troglodytes troglodytes zetlandicus

The puffins, gannets, terns and bonxies might get most of the star billing - but these are one of my Shetland favourites.  The Shetland wrens just get on with their business throughout the year - at this time of year this means catching food to bring back to a nest in one of Shetland's many dry-stone walls.  Taken at Sumburgh Head.
