Freudenstadt

We ate a tasty breakfast at the hotel before heading off through the Black Forest towards Freudenstadt. Another pretty little town full of beautiful buildings and fountains; therefore lots of photo opportunities.

We had a lunch stop in Kork. Salad, turkey schnitzel and chips followed by a strawberry sundae. It was lovely to eat together. We have met some characters this week, all good, in most cases! There was another photo opportunity before we left. This town has many nesting storks on chimney pots. We were able to take lots of photos of a family of White storks and their chicks.

Everyone on the coach is a little tired of the early starts and long stints sitting down. Many of our fellow passengers are long standing experts on this type of holiday and most are of the opinion that we have basically spent too much time on the road. This isn’t the fault of the drivers, they have an itinerary to stick to from head office.

All in all we would use them again, but perhaps we’d choose an itinerary with more time at some of the better hotels. I also realise how little I know about German geography and culture, and I’ll see be doing my own research when I get back to the UK.

Tonight is our last night, we’ll spend it in a Best Western Hotel south of Brussels.
