Smiles aplenty at the village gala today - despite the weather - a couple of heavy downpours didn’t seem to dampen people’s spirits

A parade of walking tableaux - decorated prams - bikes and fancy dress was led down the main village street by the New Orleans Jazz Band - closely followed by the local am dram group on an open top bus - to the park - where children’s races took place - still have an egg and spoon - three legged - and caterpillar races
