Halland, HWDMRS

A torrid drive to our cottage in the Cotswolds via the southern side of M25, some 20 miles of slow moving traffic between Leatherhead and the M40 for no apparent reason.

We stopped at Hughenden Manor for lunch, a National Trust place near High Wickham, which was the home of Benjamin Disraeli for many years. We didn’t have much time owing to the traffic but we did look at the Walled Garden, inside the house and a small artisan market.

The High Wickham and District Model Railway Society had a exhibition and so presented today’s blip - modelling Halland Station. Great fun and great skill. I had to work hard to get the shot framed to avoid any external interference.

The final part of the journey, once we’d negotiated High Wickham’s maze and gone roundabout crazy around Oxford, was fine and we arrived at our cottage in Longborough to join our friends who had travelled yesterday when we went to see Runrig. Nice place, good food and lovely to catch up.
