Loving My Ball Pit

Today saw William's first birthday party. He won't remember it but everyone else who was there thought it a blast.

Ever so many presents to unwrap with help from Mummy and Daddy and he finally allowed other people to carry him apart from his parents, much to his Mum's relief.

He had fun in the ball pit at Wacky Warehouse on his birthday so he has his own ball pit now. Great fun.

Len, Basil and I went on to the Leicester Bach Choir concert at St James the Greater in the evening. An absolutely riveting and stunning performance of Vaughan-Williams' The Lark Ascending from a young violinist. The choir sang lustily in the concluding Wreck of the Hesperus.

They also performed pieces by Stanford, The Princess, in the first half. That took me back to GCE O level English Lit with a jolt. Poetry by Tennyson which we had to learn by heart.
