Novice Morris

Another amazing day with the Aunties :)

An early start, before everyone else was awake, helping to set up a photographic exhibition then back home before I was missed.

We took the Aunties to meet youngest Daughter and her family but had to cut it short as we were expected in Marlow for lunch.

Mckenzie and BoBo came along with us and it soon became obvious that both Aunties love children. They were totally enchanted with the two little ones and laughed all day long (to be honest I was slightly anxious that the children would be too much for them but I needn't have worried).

My Brother lived with one of the Aunts for almost a year, when he did his world trip many years ago, so it was very emotional for him to see them again. We had a BBQ for lunch and then took a trip down the river, which was a bit chilly but great fun.

We were very sad to leave but needed to get the children home for bed. As we drove through Abingdon, the Aunts spotted Morris Dancers, so we found somewhere to park and went to watch.

Apparently they'd been dancing since 10am, so probably needed to go home but they did one last dance and invited the two children and the two Aunts to join in. They were given hats and hankies and off they went.
I've not laughed so much for ages and it was very difficult to hold the camera steady.

This trip to the UK will probably be the last one that they'll make, as they are both in their late eighties,  so it's important that the whole family make it memorable for them. Judging by how much fun they had, I don't think it's a day they'll forget quickly :)
