Swings & Roundabouts

First off I went into Finsbury Park for the Saddle & Sore Bike Festival where I had Dr Bike look at my brakes. 
Brakes sharpened but apparently, I will soon need new brake pads and cables as well as a replacement chain and other assorted rear wheel gear housing replacements. I'm not sure my 10-year-old bike is worth the new parts.
With this in mind, I took my roadbike out for a rare spin over to Carters Steam Fair in Clissold Park. See extra for the Swings.
I think if I could get some decent spacers installed to make the brakes more easy for my short arms to reach it could become my day-to-day bike.
I'm going to cook a curry, and watch football & golf, for the rest of today.
