Autumn Spirit

I last blipped the Spirit of the Woods sculpture on the 9th May.

I only had time for a quick walk in the woods today, and it was dull and drizzling, so I didn't spend long looking for a new subject. I was quite struck by the colour of the tree in the background of this shot. As an autumn leaves photo it is a bit of a cheat though, because the leaves on this tree are always a lovely copper colour. I have always assumed it is a copper beech, but I could be horribly wrong about that.
