Lit up in Paris

On Sunday afternoon we were treated to a trip on one of Les Bateaux Mouches - the sightseeing boats that go up and sown the Seine. The time of day was most fortuitous. The sun was setting and we caught the last of the autumn light on the beautiful buildings, monuments and bridges of Paris. Then on our return in the dark, we saw the Eiffel Tower lit up and sparkling.

The tower was decked in lights for the millennium and they are turned on from time to time. Zhal'mèd said he hope d that we'd see them - and moments later they were switched on. Here's a short video clip of the lights.

It was wonderful to have a trip along the Seine and to have a good view of some of the places that make Paris such a beautiful city.
