Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge.

We've had a full day today... we made our way to Glen Roy to have a look at the scenery that was formed during the ice age. On the way we made a small detour to see the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge.

On the way home we had a long walk at the top end of Glen Nevis. The weather has been good and sometimes quite warm.

Glen Roy (extra) is a fascinating place, the parallel lines on the photo are in face the shore lines of a huge lake there the water was held back by a glacier. As the glacier retreated the water level would suddenly drop and the next thousand years or so would form a new shore line. Also clearly visible are the moraines left behind by the glacier.
