A quiet night

With most of the tourists gone Chiang Mai is very quiet.  In fact there was only two other tables occupied in the usually very popular resaurant  that we ate in last night.  The owner was tucking into his own meal when we arrived and he told us that it was so quiet that eating was a way of passing the time.  He did in fact go home before us, leaving his very capable staff to close up, I think he wanted to go and watch the football.  Anyway as we were waiting for our ride home I took this shot of the almost deserted road.   I was trying to get the fountain in but I didn't get the chance.  

When we went shopping earlier in the day we did get caught in the rain and the roads were showing signs of flooding.  We were in the car so we didn't get wet.
