Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art

A wet, wet, wet day to start the summer holiday. Relaxed at home in the morning, then went to the Velazquez and the Celebration of Painting: The Golden Age in the Museo Del Prado exhibition at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art. Some wonderful paintings not only by Velazquez, but also Titian, Rubens and Jan Brueghel the Elder among many others.

Another lovely surprise was meeting one of my pupils at the museum. She had just been to see a Studio Ghibli exhibition.

The extra photos are of Kenji Yanobe's Sun Sister statue which stands behind the museum, including a cheeky upskirt shot with my umbrella.
