Vacation Day 9

Up early and off to Tiger Leaping Gorge. I had been told it was beautiful. The road between start and finish is 20 KM so going up and down a mountain along the way made it a tad further. The walk was a killer. We were trailed for most of the first day by a local with a horse who continually told us it woudl get steeper and harder and that we needed to hurry and that maybe we (or one of us) should ride his horse. After we successfully navigated the hardest part of the walk (call the 28 bends) he finally gave up.

We stopped for the night at a place called The Tea Horse. There was a Korean man there telling everyone the prices and the everything that was needed for a stay.. He didn't even work there. He was just a friend of the owner but he was a nice guy. The room was nice but it didn't matter. We were exhausted from the walk.

I have tried to get some pics through PS but can't work out how to get the to look anything like the scenery that we saw. It was just stunning. Once I get it sorted and maybe get a hold of a licence for Photomatix, I will post some on flicker. This pic gives you some type of idea though. This is the Yangtze River.
