Campanula

My blip today is a hasty shot of the campanula that I bought in Ikea last Friday, something cheerful after a rough couple of days. On Tuesday, Violet was clearly still not well and was going down hill so her mummy and I decided that the best course of action was take her to a GP at our local private hospital.  Within the space of an hour she'd been seen by the GP and a paediatric consultant who felt that blood tests and IV antibiotics were the way to go.  Unfortunately this hospital is not set up for urgent paediatric care so this meant a 14 mile trip to one of our local NHS hospitals where there is a children's A&E department.   We arrived at 2.30pm  and by 7pm Violet had finally had her initial dose of IV antibiotics and was set to stay the night with her mummy...until 8pm when the hospital said that a more urgent case had priority.  So they were sent home and asked to return the next morning for further treatment.  This morning they phoned to say that we should not come until the afternoon as the antibiotics cannot be administered more than once in 24 hours...
My extra is of Violet showing her bandaged hand and cannula when we went out for a coffee, during a temperature down, mood up period this morning.
Posting this on Thursday as time ran away yesterday.  Violet has to be taken back to the hospital again today and yet again tomorrow when test results should be back.
