Bruton, Somerset

Such a typical idyllic English scene on a beautiful Solstice Day.
I drove my friend up to Pitcombe where her Great Grandfather had helped build the railway viaduct in 1861 - it was a delightful hamlet . Then we were lucky enough to find Cole Manor Tea Garden ( see extra) where we spent a relaxing couple of hours enjoying the stunning gardens and the peaceful scene by the River Brue.

I showed my friend the Hugh Sexey’s Jacobean Chapel at Bruton where we spent some quiet moments thinking about our other friend from college , whose Mother’s Funeral it was this afternoon in Shrewsbury.
