The Royal Observatory

This is the Royal Observatory on Blackford Hill in Edinburgh. This view is taken from the Boardroom on the fourth floor of what was Jewel & Esk College , now part of the new Edinburgh College - right across the city.

I was there for a meeting this morning and was struck by the great Edinburgh panorama ( from the Pentlands to Fife) which can be seen from this unusual vantage point.
