Taste better than they look

We ate one of these the following day, so I can confirm that it was well received on the taste front. The cake was cut up ready for eating by the time it was on general view, as is our custom, so it's not worth spending much time on appearance. In case you're interested, they are raspberry ripple Bakewell cakes - my own adaptation of another recipe where I have substituted raspberry jam for blackcurrant jam, in a cake mixture which contains ground almonds.

A quiet day today, recharging my batteries from the first half of the week.
