Beautiful Windermere

Another glorious day

In the morning I received a text from friends who had seen on Facebook that we were in the Lake District. It turned out they were in Ambleside, a mere half hour drive away, so we arranged to meet them for lunch in a huge Garden Centre in Ambleside. It was lovely catching up as we don’t often see them since they live in Kent. We had been Pastors in Neighbouring Churches in Essex before we both retired.

After lunch we drove down to the Visitor Centre just outside the town of Windermere. It is a lovely area to walk and the views are amazing., as you can see from the photo.
