Poppy in the heather

Chris and I went with her dog Poppy, now 15 months, for a walk round the moor from 10-12. It was so bright and sunny. I took lots of pictures but in the end I cropped Chris off this as I loved Poppy bounding along with ears flapping.

I had to rush after the walk as I wanted to take my new boots back to Cotswold. They were hopeless with my arthritic toe. They don’t have a specialist there and the girl couldn’t find the others I tried on last week, or the waterproof shoes. I got some others but MrC says i’ll Have the same problem - as my foot can’t bend it is too painful to put on boots with the tongue going too high. (I couldn’t tell when I put them on as my foot was already sore). Newcastle has lost a lot of outdoor shops, but I know L D Mountain are good but I didn’t have time to trek down there - we picked but Nathaniel and Ella who are staying for the weekend. Unfortunately Mummy forgot to pack Bunny and George, the special bedtime cuddly toys. Nathaniel has Auntie Fiona’s old teddy and Ella has a doll I sewed for her mum. They are asleep with the promise of the beach with the high sand dunes tomorrow. Now they are a year older I hope they still think they are high!
