Common spotted orchid

A perfect day today for a walk with my walking group around Powerstock in Dorset. Ten of us were treated to the most splendid wide reaching views and more orchids than I have ever seen including hundreds of common spotted and a rare bee orchid. The weather was just right and we stopped off at the Marquis de Lorne pub for a drink on the way back to our cars. We saw a great variety of butterflies, identified by one of our group who knows his insects. The second extra is the village of Powerstock. My entry for flower Friday today.
