Out of a brick

Amazing what comes out of a brick.

Just back from a poetic evening with the Poet laureate (Carol Ann Duffy), the once national poet of Wales (Gillian Clarke), the Scots Makar (Jackie Kay), a winner of the Queen's Medal for poetry (Imtiaz Darker) and a local poet (Gerda Stevenson).  A stellar cast and a memorable evening.  It was part of independent book week and organised by our own local independent bookshop.

Not bad for a wee place like Biggar.
