RatMan

OilMan looked so fetching in his 'rat suit', a Nomex jump suit from Chevron days repurposed for crawling under the house or up in the attic, that I had to snap his picture. The early morning light was nice behind him as he prepared the traps with LaTur, a gourmet Italian cheese of sheep, goat and cow milk. We ran out of peanut butter....

As the temperature was climbing its way to a high of 103 degrees F (38C according to my thermometer, not the complicated conversion formula which OIlMan can do in his head, but not when he was thumping around under the house) I repaired to our shared office to continue working on Peter's quilt. It has pretty well taken over the whole office and all the surfaces therein although OilMan can still edge around it to sit at his desk.

I left the room to retrieve something and came back to find Ozzie strategically placed in the middle of my, er, canvas* Well it was on the floor. OilMan was sitting right there playing computer games, but with his back to the action he seemed totally unaware that Ozzie had taken up his usual position behind him. He showed little inclination to move when I returned, so I had to drag  entice him out of the room with a carrot. Come to think of it, OilMan showed little inclination to move either....

I don't know if Ozzie thinks that is his spot on the floor no matter what has been put there, or if he thinks that his rightful place is on a bed and it looks like a bed to him, even if it is on the floor. Whatever, there is now a large sign on the door suggesting that it be kept closed....

Wine time is approaching and it is actually too hot to sit outside....
