The Life Of Ponty Cyclops

Mrs Woody

After yesterdays male Great Spotted Woodpecker photo, I thought I would bring you Mrs Woody, just to show the two of them are still showing well in the garden.

The male as you can see has a red cap, the female does not. Be warned, both male and female juveniles have red caps, but they would have grown them out by this time of year, so it is a cast iron way of IDing what sex you are seeing.

We finally tied down the moving date today. We are out of here on the 22nd of this month ... not that far away at all!
