Alban Pilgrimage

Six years of living in St Albans and I’ve finally seen the annual Alban Pilgrimage which recounts how a Roman citizen called Alban saved the life of a Christian priest by taking his place and as the legend goes being executed on the hill where the Abbey now stands. I took I with me and she really enjoyed it. We had a great view of the whole parade. In the afternoon we visited the walled garden at Shenley. I think Naturewatcher would really enjoy a visit there when she next visits.
