Happy 1st Birthday Lola!

Happy 1st Birthday my beautiful fur baby :-))

I can’t believe you are one already! Where has the time gone? Thank you for bringing so much joy, laughter and love into our lives with all your doggy nonsense. We can’t imagine life without you now!

I’m sorry we’re not with you today but I know you’re having a great birthday as R has sent us photos :-)) and we are looking forward to you coming home tomorrow so we can celebrate your birthday all over again. Three celebrations in one week! What a star you are :-))

Sending you big squishy cuddles and can’t wait to see you tomorrow xxxxxxx

Woke up at 5.30am absolutely melting. I was convinced the hotel had its heating on but no, it was just another beautiful day!

Sat in a lovely spot in the restaurant overlooking the garden and had the most delicious eggs Benedict for breakfast.

Decided to drive to the coast and headed for Tynemouth.

When we left Newcastle the temperature was 23 degrees and sunny. At Tynemouth the haar was down and it was only 14 degrees. We drove from Tynemouth to Whitley Bay and and along the coast to Blyth stopping at Seaton Sluice for photos (I’ve seen Seaton Sluice on blip loads of times so was lovely to stop there :-)

Decided to head back to the hotel (and the sunshine ) for lunch and had a delicious smoked salmon and avocado sandwich that was so large I could only eat half.

Wandered in the hotel garden taking photos and generally mouthed about the place in full relaxation mode.

Dinner booked for 7.30pm so just heading downstairs for a pre-dinner G&T in the garden.

We were so lucky to have beautiful weather on our Loch Tay trip last month and I can’t believe we’ve enjoyed beautiful weather for this trip too. This is definitely the best summer in a while.

Good times :-))
