It's back

The nuthatches have been absent for several months now, but in the past few days one has started to drop by.

My young friend wanted to go out again today so came round after school and we headed off over the back for an hour.  It was mighty hot though and we tried to hug what little shade there was.  I thought my hearing was good but W was picking out grasshoppers which I couldn't hear at all.  We did spot a couple.
