Box Turtle

It's always an occasion for joy when we find a box turtle on our property. The Husband found this one out in the woods, amongst some of his treasures, beyond his workshop. A male, from my brief inspection of him. And a relatively old one, from the look of his scutes. It should be noted that the photograph on the site that talks about scutes isn't an eastern box turtle. It looks more like a painted turtle, which spends most of its time in or near the water.
