History Destroyed

After yesterday's blip from Portobello I nipped by again to see the pottery kilns.

I was shocked to find them in such a state.

I have been told these are the last pottery kilns left in Scotland.

The top of one has collapsed in high winds.

They are behind a site being demolished and it doesn't look like there is much left.

Such a shame that a grand part of local history is being lost before our eyes.

Are the people of Portobello up in arms?
