Let me introduce myself ...

I have followed several people on this website for a little while now and have been inspired to join. My name is Julie and I live in Ouston (hence the first blip, a bit boring but I hope to improve). Ouston, County Durham, in ancient times, the village was known as Ulkirton, it lies 3 miles North West of Chester le Street and 5 1/2 miles South of Newcastlle Upon Tyne. The estate where I live used to be a disused farmer's field which contained some World War II bunkers. However, things have moved on from there and the village now has several amenties such as a post office, general stores, a petrol station, community centre, 3 schools and 2 pubs!
