The thief's neck

This is our local pub, officially called the Davenport Arms, but known to everyone as The Thief's Neck. This is because in former times a local man was hanged thereabouts for theft. I felt a bit silly when I was taking the shot, because the barman came out to see if smokers had left glasses outside. I gave a vague smile and said " I'm just photographing your pub". I couldn't be bothered with further explanations.
