Cubert Day 6

Isobel, Sta and I had our early start down on the beach for a few hours.  It is glorious to be the only ones on the beach, watching the tide ebb away.  Today we took down a flask of tea each and a couple of chairs, even more luxury!

Isobel and I went for a walk in the opposite direction in the afternoon where we came across what must have been the inspiration for the Should Have Gone to Specsavers advert! :-)

In the evening Isobel and I went to Rick Stein's The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow.  The food, as expected, was gorgeous.  I started with deep fried prawns in coconut batter, followed by Thai green curry with sea bass, hake, prawns and squid.  Isobel started with deep fried courgettes stuffed with tuna, mackerel, prawns and ginger with, in her words, the best  fish and chips ever as a main.  We shared Mexican rice pudding for desert!!
