The sunshine is back...

...after a rainy night and a cloudy day, with showers. The forecasts said it would be about 30 millimetres, but it was just 19 and now it's going to be dry again for several days (so they say, we'll see).

In the foreground our calves in the small paddock. They are just six months old, while the next youngest are already 12 months, so I think we'll keep them separated from the others for quite a while.

The Eastern Finnish heifers are not much bigger than these, even though they are about 18 months old! Now they are with the bigger ones and though they are sometimes harassed by some of the big ones, they seem to take it with their built-in stubbornness and just don't care.
