Monmouth and the Wye Valley

We went for a walk today with Running Backwards and family . Mrs RU looks down on to Monmouth and the mountains beyond from the terrace of The Kymin and what must be the smallest National Trust building in the U.K. ? It comprises a meeting and banqueting hall and a tiny naval temple for the great and the good including, wait for it, Lord Nelson and ...Lady Hamilton.

Our walk took us along Offa’s Dyke National trail and returning on the footpath alongside the Wye. We had a swim on this very warm day and dried in the sun. So good all round!
