Rockpools - WhitesandsBeach

I took the dogs to Whitesands Bay today and and on the rocky escarpment between the beach and Barns Ness these rock pools are very much a feature. The stretch of coastline is known for its geological formations and fossil hunting was once quite popular here. I am not quite sure why these fairly deep rock pools have formed but they make for interesting exploration.
