Keyhole Quilt

We just completed our keyhole quilt using Jinny Beyer fabric - love the colors! We have been doing some rather complicated quilts, and needed a mental break, and this was just the ticket - fairly easy to do and we were able to use fabric from our stash for the quilt - so it was "free", in a manner of speaking. 

We have a longarm, so are able to complete it completely ourselves - really enjoyed every step of the process. Now back to something a bit more complex - a Sue Garmen quilt design called Ladies of the Sea. We'll see how that turns out - probably will take quite a while to finish, since it has loads of applique. I have not done a lot of applique work, especially hand sewing, have done more by machine, so it will be stretching our capabilities and create a lot of learning experiences. Since we just passed our 50th wedding anniversary, maybe that will be our anniversary quilt - ideally will get it done before our 60th anniversary rolls around.
