THOSE CISTERCIANS...

...knew how to choose a good site. We went over quite early to Mount Grace Priory - only half an hour down the A19 - and had a picnic in the grounds, a coffee in their new and very busy café, wandered around their newly re-landscaped and re-planted gardens (which need another year or two to settle in, I think), failed unsurprisingly to see any of the resident stoats, and then left in the early afternoon by which time the car park was completely full up and some people were getting a little hot and bothered.
