Erector Set for Grown-ups

Construction has begun on the Warriors Arena Stadium in town. The Santa Cruz Warriors are the NBA Development League affiliate of the Oakland-based Golden State Warriors basketball team. Lots of excitement about the new arena, as well as concerns about noise and parking. The facility seems to be squashed onto a rather small lot, pretty darn close to existing housing. In between raindrops, the crew was struggling today with the section of steel that appears to be a tad tweaked; something had gone awry that necessitated new bolts. My feeling?--better now than when the canvas is up! First game is scheduled for December 23.
