Silloth's own

Kathleen Ferrier was actually from the Lancashire village of Higher Walton, but moved to Silloth in 1936 when her husband, Albert Wilson, was sent to work at the local branch of a bank.  Because she lived there as she became famous Silloth claims her as its own.  This mural is in Mrs Wilson's tearoom, which is named after her.
